1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Dossi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, do not use Dossi.
2. What Dossi Is
Dossi is:
- Open-source software: Released under the Apache 2.0 license. Source code is publicly available for review and modification.
- A DIY project: Created by and for the Type 1 Diabetes community. Not developed by a medical device company.
- Not FDA approved or cleared: Dossi is NOT a medical device. It has not undergone FDA review or approval. Use is entirely at your own risk.
- Educational: Provided to help users learn about insulin delivery algorithms and personalized diabetes management.
⚠️ CRITICAL: Dossi is not a replacement for professional medical care. Always consult your endocrinologist or healthcare provider about your diabetes management. You are solely responsible for your health decisions.
3. No Warranty
Dossi is provided "AS IS" without any warranty of any kind:
- NO WARRANTY that Dossi will work without errors or interruptions
- NO WARRANTY that Dossi is safe for any particular use
- NO WARRANTY of fitness for a particular purpose
- NO WARRANTY that Dossi will prevent low blood sugar or hypoglycemic episodes
- NO WARRANTY that Dossi will prevent high blood sugar or hyperglycemic episodes
Bugs, errors, and failures are possible. Software can malfunction. Hardware can fail. Networks can drop. Always have a backup manual insulin delivery method.
4. User Responsibility
By using Dossi, you acknowledge and accept that:
- You understand the algorithm: You've reviewed how Dossi calculates insulin and its safety features.
- You're trained: You know how to use your Omnipod and CGM independently without Dossi.
- You monitor actively: You check your glucose regularly and never rely solely on Dossi recommendations.
- You make final decisions: You review every insulin recommendation. You make the final decision whether to deliver insulin.
- You have backup methods: You keep manual injection supplies or other insulin delivery methods available.
- You report problems: If Dossi behaves unexpectedly, you'll immediately revert to manual insulin management.
5. No Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Dossi contributors and maintainers are not liable for any harm, injury, or loss resulting from use of Dossi, including but not limited to:

- This applies even if Dossi contributors were advised of the possibility of such harm.
You assume all risk of using Dossi.
6. Medical Disclaimer
Dossi is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Recommendations from Dossi are suggestions only. They are not medical treatment.
Before using Dossi, you should:
